In 1988, the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, inaugurated the "Jewish Birthday Campaign."

The Jewish Birthday Club was founded by Louis Goldstein and Yisroel Teleshevsky after hearing The Lubavitcher Rebbe speak passionately about celebrating one’s Jewish Birthday.

The Jewish Birthday Club was strongly endorsed by the Rebbe, who was presented with a personal membership certificate by Goldstein (click to view a video of the Rebbe’s response to the certificate).
